Omera is operated by SIMMER DATING LTD (“we”, “us”). This page explains how you can delete your Omera account and request deletion of your personal data.

1) Delete your data from inside the app (recommended)

You can delete your Omera account directly in the app:

  1. Open Omera

  2. Go to Settings

  3. Select Delete Account

  4. Confirm the deletion

When you use the in-app delete function, your personal data is generally deleted or anonymised within 30 days.

2) Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app, you can request deletion by email.

Please include:

  • The phone number used for your Omera account (and country code)

  • If you used a social login, the email address associated with Google / Apple / Facebook login (if known)

  • The words: “Omera Data Deletion Request”

  • (Optional) Any details that help us locate your account (e.g., your display name)

We may ask for additional information to verify it’s really you, to prevent unauthorised deletion.

3) What we delete

When your account is deleted (via the app or by request), we delete or anonymise personal data associated with your account, which may include:

  • Profile information (e.g., name, date of birth, preferences, prompts)

  • Photos and uploaded images (e.g., profile and dish images)

  • Messages and in-app content (to the extent we control it)

  • Event participation information linked to your profile

  • Technical identifiers linked to your account within our systems

4) What we may keep (limited cases)

Even after deletion, we may retain limited information only where necessary for:

  • Fraud prevention and platform safety

  • Legal, regulatory, tax, or accounting obligations

  • Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims

  • Secure backups (until they are rotated/overwritten)

Where deletion is not immediately possible (for example, in backups), we will securely store the data and isolate it from further use until deletion is possible.

5) Deletion timeline

  • Account deletions are generally completed within 30 days.

  • In some cases (e.g., legal obligations or safety investigations), limited retention may apply as described above.

6) Users under 18

Omera is 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under 18. If we become aware that a user is under 18, we will deactivate the account and take reasonable steps to delete the associated personal data. If you believe a minor is using Omera, contact info@simmerdating.co.uk.
